From fine kitchens to the façade of Tanglewood Music Shed, our work is really about the challenge of doing a job well, of satisfying you, our client, and of enjoying the folks we are working with. TheSmallBuildingCompany is small enough to be personable with all the resources of a larger builder. Our hope is to always provide a carpenter you can talk to; who can really listen and follow through on a request competitively priced. We have the human quality and attention to detail of a small building company with the strength and professional resources of the larger builder. The builders’ craft has become the job of artful assembly. We take pride in knowing new proven materials available and how to best use them. We take pleasure in helping the client realize their vision; be it fine interior finishes, a library or music room or a rustic barn. We aim to be efficient and cost effective.

We are a Licensed General Contractor with six professional carpenters. Carpenters who as individuals and as a group have a demonstrated a record of achievement and take their work seriously. With a commitment to have our work add to the environment rather then take from it, we apply non-toxic construction and green building methods whenever affordable and possible. While this is not always the least expensive, with our client’s approval we will research and implement green practices that meet their budget.
